We currently have a requirement for:

Payroll Administrator

Due to forthcoming retirement, we have an opportunity for an experienced payroll administrator. Ideally, the successful candidate would work with the existing person for a few months for the successful handover of this very important position.

Systems Administrator

We require an enthusiastic individual with the necessary experience to maintain and continually develop our IT systems. The successful applicant will be part of a team of three. Primary responsibilities would involve maintaining a Windows-based network with SQL server, and providing general IT support. Some knowledge of hardware maintenance is required for minor repairs and upgrades. We are currently implementing a new MRP system. Experience with VBScript, Crystal Reports and .Net programming would be an advantage.

Estimator

Estimators form an integral part of the commercial team and their role is often wide and varied as each project often holds a different challenge. Individuals are required to be self-motivated, determined and have strong mathematical capabilities.

Communication is a key aspect of the estimator’s role, from the moment an enquiry is received through to the securing of a contract. Once an enquiry has been received, the estimator is required to review the drawings, specifications and determine any unusual requirements that may apply to the project or subcontract items that may form part of the required scope. This often results in the preparation and co-ordination of various subcontract packages.

Often the pre-tender period involves meeting with a prospective client to discuss their requirements or, following the submission of a tender, a meeting may be required to discuss the content of your tender submission.

The estimator prepares a schedule of quantities or "take off" for the steelwork, allocating material and labour costs specific to a particular project. The ability to interpret the information received and communicate with the client or colleagues is paramount.

Once a project has been secured, it is the estimator’s responsibility to relay relevant information, such as contract information including specifications, cost build-ups, programme, potential risks and contractual issues to the team responsible for constructing the project.

Design Engineer

We have an opportunity for an experienced design engineer. Chartered status with the ability to produce SER certificates would be an advantage. Experience with concrete retaining walls, foundations and structural steelwork is essential.

Metal Buildings Estimator

The successful candidate will join an existing team of two using our in-house developed estimating system. Sound knowledge of modern building methods is essential for this challenging and rewarding position.

Strucad Detailers

You will be responsible for creating 3D models, fabrication drawings and associated lists, CAM-data etc. from Layout and G.A. drawings or engineer and architects' drawings.
